This is a video on a campaign to give a voice to refugees living in Malaysia. We urge the Malaysian government (and governments every where) to #RECOGNIZETHEM, recognize their existence in this country and sign the 1951 Convention relation to the Status of Refugees.
Without this ratification, Malaysia is able to deport, detain and arrest those who seek refuge in this land.
There are an estimated 100,000+ refugees living in Malaysia.
They cannot attend public school.
They cannot get legal employment.
They have to LIVE IN FEAR.
Refugees who live in Malaysia are being treated as illegal immigrants. THIS HAS TO STOP! They came here for a new beginning, so let us give them one.
